Twin County Regional Healthcare Names Physician of the Year Christy Medeus, DO, FACP, FACOI

Recently, employees of Twin County Regional Healthcare created the Physician of the Year Award to honor members of the medical staff for their hard work and dedication. Hospital employees nominate physicians who exemplify the hospital’s five core values:

- Do the right thing
- Embrace individuality
- Act with kindness
- Make a difference together
The recipient of the 2023 Physician of the Year award is Dr. Christy Medeus. Dr. Medeus earned her medical degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Lewisburg, West Virginia.
Dr. Medeus is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Global Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She plans to graduate in May.
Dr. Medeus serves as the medical director of the hospitalist program at Twin County Regional Healthcare. As medical director, she collaborates with administration and interdisciplinary groups to improve the quality of care, supervises medical practitioners who provide direct patient care, and manages patient care including diagnosis and treatment.
