Twin County Regional Healthcare Hosts Visit with U.S. Senator Mark Warner’s Office to Discuss Rural Healthcare

Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH) recently welcomed representatives from U.S. Senator Mark Warner’s office, including Senior Health Policy Advisor Colleen Ramsey Nguyen, for a discussion focused on the unique healthcare needs and challenges facing rural communities across Southwest Virginia.
The visit provided an opportunity for TCRH leadership to share firsthand perspectives on the realities of delivering healthcare in a rural setting and the importance of ensuring patients have access to high-quality care close to home.
“Conversations like these are critical to the future of rural healthcare,” said Chief Executive Officer William Alley, MHA, BSN, RN of Twin County Regional Healthcare. “We are grateful for the opportunity to discuss the challenges our patients and communities face, as well as the many opportunities to strengthen healthcare access and outcomes throughout our region.”
During the meeting, TCRH representatives highlighted the vital role rural hospitals play in supporting the health and well-being of their communities. The discussion also emphasized the importance of policies and resources that help sustain healthcare services in rural areas and ensure continued access to care for patients across Southwest Virginia.
