May 12, 2026
Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH) was honored to attend a recent screening of the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association’s (VHHA) 100th anniversary documentary in Wytheville, marking the beginning of a statewide series of healthcare appreciation events in celebration of National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week.
The event brought together healthcare leaders and organizations from across the region, including Wythe County Community Hospital, Clinch Valley Health, Ballad Health (Lee County Community Hospital and Smyth County Community Hospital), and others. The gathering also included Delegate Mitchell Cornett and a representative from U.S. Senator Tim Kaine’s office.
The documentary, Healing and Hope: Hospitals’ Legacy of Service in Virginia, highlights a century of dedication, innovation, and progress within Virginia’s healthcare community. The screening is part of a statewide VHHA tour celebrating the Association’s 100th anniversary, continuing through May 18.
“It was a privilege to join peers and community leaders in recognizing the incredible history and impact of healthcare across Virginia,” said Chief Executive Officer William Alley, MHA, BSN, RN. “Events like this serve as a reminder of the important role hospitals and healthcare professionals play in the lives of those we serve every day.”
TCRH is proud to stand alongside healthcare partners across the Commonwealth in celebrating this milestone and remains committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to the Twin County region.
