Twin County Regional Healthcare Welcomes New Year’s Baby
January 05, 2026
Twin County Regional Healthcare proudly welcomed its first baby of the New Year, a beautiful baby girl named Laiken, born on January 1. Laiken arrived weighing 7 pounds, 14 ounces and measuring 20 inches long.
Laiken is the cherished daughter of Joey and Stephanie Anders, and she is already surrounded by love as she joins her family at home alongside her excited older brothers, who are thrilled to welcome their baby sister after three boys.
The family expressed heartfelt gratitude to the care team at Twin County Regional Healthcare for their exceptional support during labor and delivery.
“We want to thank all of the staff at Twin County Regional Healthcare. After having three boys, we were incredibly blessed to welcome a daughter. Dr. Blattner and all of the nurses—especially Kim and Kathy—went above and beyond to provide wonderful care. We are so grateful for the compassion, support, and exceptional care we received during such a special time in our lives. Hands-down, the best labor and delivery hospital in the nation!” — The Anders Family
Twin County Regional Healthcare would also like to extend sincere appreciation to the community partners and local businesses who donated to celebrate the New Year’s baby and family. Thank you to Christ Chapel, Vaughan-Bassett, Schewels, Food City, Wendy’s, RJ’s, Galax Smokehouse, Galax Cakery, County Line, Roy’s, Adam’s, and Chapters for their generosity and continued support of families in our community.
