Twin County Regional Healthcare Supports National Patient Safety Awareness Week, March 10 -16, and Its Focus on Collaboration
March 15, 2024

Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH) supports a continuous focus on safe care. To sustain the year-round efforts of our healthcare providers, professionals, support teams and consumers, TCRH will set aside time to highlight important patient safety issues, spread awareness about patient safety, recognize ongoing patient safety initiatives, and commit to effective community efforts during Patient Safety Awareness Week.
“From March 10 to 16th, we are emphasizing the importance of safety among the entire team, from the care providers to our support staff to our patients and their families. The focus on safe care is a top priority, all the time,” said William Alley, Chief Nursing Officer of Twin County Regional Healthcare. “To work effectively, we must provide care in a kind and collaborative environment.”
We consistently work with our leaders and employees making sure patient safety is at the forefront of what we do each day,” said Tracy Farmer RN, BSN, CPPS, Clinical Specialist for Quality and Patient Safety Officer of Twin County Regional Healthcare. “For example, we have reduced our patient falls significantly by putting a falls prevention plan in place when patients are admitted to the hospital. We host regular patient safety classes for our employees, and plan to host one this week in recognition of Patient Safety Week.”
Twin County Regional Healthcare encourages patients and family members to be involved in the care process and ask, “How can we work together to make my care safer?” Because we are all safer when we work together.
