Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH), in partnership with Strata, proudly hosted a vital community discussion focused on improving health outcomes across the Twin County region. This collaborative event brought together community members, healthcare professionals, and local leaders to participate in the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) — a strategic initiative aimed at identifying, prioritizing, and addressing the most pressing health concerns in Galax City, Grayson County, and Carroll County.

CHNA is more than a data-gathering exercise; it is a process rooted in listening, learning, and working together. Through open dialogue and evidence-based insights, participants explored health trends and challenges, helping to shape the future of local healthcare delivery.

Key priorities that emerged during the discussion included:

  • Women’s Health
  • Mental Health and Access to Behavioral Services
  • Cardiac Care and Stroke Awareness
  • Substance Use, Recovery, and Support Systems
  • Healthcare Accessibility and Community Education

Participants also addressed gaps in care and communication and worked collaboratively to find solutions for connecting individuals with the services they need most.

“At Twin County Regional Healthcare, we believe that the health of our community starts with listening to the people we serve. This Community Health Needs Assessment is a powerful step forward in shaping a future built on collaboration, compassion, and real solutions. I’m incredibly proud of the engagement we’ve seen and am confident that, together with our partners and neighbors, we will continue to build a stronger, healthier Twin County region.” Said, William Alley, MHA, BSN, RN, Chief Executive Officer, Twin County Regional Healthcare.

TCRH extends its deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in this critical initiative. Your voices, insights, and passion are shaping the health and wellness of our community for years to come.

Together, we are stronger. And together, we are building a healthier community.
