Twin County Regional Healthcare Reaches Gold Standard for Stroke

Twin County Regional Healthcare has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for Get With The Guidelines®-Rural Stroke Gold Acute Stroke Ready Hospital Certification along with Get With The Guidelines®-Rural Stroke Gold Plus with Target: Stroke Honor Roll with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.

TCRH underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review on April 4, 2025. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with related certification standards including the most relevant standards areas – examples include program management, supporting self-management, and delivering and facilitating clinical care. Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. The reviewers also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
