TCRH Hosts Community Event on Advanced Care Planning

Twin County Regional Healthcare recently welcomed community members to an educational evening focused on Advanced Care Planning, providing valuable information and resources to help individuals and families prepare for future healthcare, legal, and financial decisions.

The event featured presentations from healthcare and financial professionals who shared guidance on topics such as advance directives, healthcare decision-making, end-of-life planning, and financial preparedness. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the importance of documenting their wishes, communicating with loved ones, and understanding the resources available to support them through the planning process.

Guest speakers included Rhonda Roberts, BSN, RN, ACM-RN; Vanessa Galyean, MHA, RN, LNHA of Wythe Hospice of Southwest Virginia; and Trenton Miller, Financial Advisor with Primerica.

The evening offered meaningful discussions and practical tools designed to help individuals take proactive steps toward planning for the future. Participants left with a greater understanding of how advanced care planning can provide clarity, reduce uncertainty, and offer peace of mind for both themselves and their loved ones.
