About James Dallis, MD
Dr. James Dallis is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with over three decades of comprehensive experience in general orthopaedics, sports medicine, trauma care, and joint reconstruction. Known for his dedication to patient-centered care, Dr. Dallis has served communities across the Southeast in both civilian and military medical settings.
He currently practices at Prisma Health Orthopaedics in Laurens, South Carolina, where he also holds a faculty position as Associate Professor with the University of South Carolina. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Dallis has contributed his expertise to numerous orthopaedic institutions, including Athens Orthopedic Clinic, Southern Regional Physicians, the 96th Medical Group at Eglin Air Force Base, and Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group in Virginia.
Dr. Dallis completed his orthopaedic residency and general surgical internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He earned his medical degree from the Stony Brook School of Medicine and his undergraduate degree in Chemistry, magna cum laude, from New York University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
With a commitment to advancing orthopaedic education and clinical excellence, Dr. Dallis continues to mentor future surgeons and remains active in professional development through his board certification with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, valid through 2031.
