Greg Pearson Named CEO of Twin County Regional Healthcare

Galax, Virginia – (September 16, 2019) – Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH), a Duke LifePoint hospital, today announced that Greg Pearson has been named chief executive officer (CEO), effective September 23. Pearson replaces departing CEO Dale Alward, who will assume the CEO role at Sovah Health – Martinsville, another facility in the LifePoint Health network.
“Greg is a veteran healthcare executive with a strong track record of enhancing quality, driving growth and ensuring patient, physician and employee satisfaction,” says Jamie Carter, president of LifePoint Health’s Eastern Division, of which TCRH is a part. “His leadership and passion for providing high quality care have been a tremendous benefit to the hospitals he has served, and I am excited to have him lead the TCRH team as they continue to advance our mission of Making Communities Healthier.”
Pearson most recently served as CEO of Minden Medical Center in Minden, Louisiana. Prior to his time there, he served as CEO and chief operating officer (COO) at Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg, Mississippi; as well as chief financial officer (CFO) at several hospitals, including St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston, Texas; Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama; and Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

Pearson holds a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in science from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives; has served on the boards of directors for the Webster Parish Economic Development Council in Louisiana and the Warren County Chamber of Commerce in Mississippi; and was an officer of the executive council of the Central Mississippi Trauma Region.
