The competition during the “Holiday Tour of Trees” to
benefit Twin County Hospice heated up when one local business arrived at the
December 12th event.
Shear Perfection Salon had decorated a holiday tree in
memory of Allen Burcham. They collected
donations, a dollar per vote, from their family, friends and patrons for this
worthy cause. When they arrived at the
event and all the tallies were in, they had raised more than the other 20
holiday tree sponsors taking the “2009 Toast of the Tour” title.
The “Holiday Tour of Trees” is quickly becoming a community
favorite with friendly competition between holiday tree sponsors, a fun-filled
family holiday event and the joy of helping others.
Over $1,300 was raised at the “Holiday Tour of Trees” to
benefit Twin County Hospice patients in need.
