The Faith Community Nursing program of Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH)
will host a Community Health Fair during American Diabetes Alert Day on Tuesday,
March 24, 2009 from 6:30 am until 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church located
at 1024 East Stuart Drive in Galax.
Free screenings are available to the public and will include: blood pressure, blood sugar, bone density, BMI (Body Mass Index), waist circumference and weight. Participants are asked to arrive fasting for more accurate results.

Educational booths or materials will be available on advanced directives, colorectal cancer, diabetes management, smoking cessation and more. Additionally, information on TCRH services including: Behavioral Health, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Diabetes Education, Emergency Department, Family Care Centers, Heartburn Center, Home Health, Hospice, Sleep Center, Wellness Center and others will be on hand.
