Welcome to the Sleep Center

Helping people have better nights and healthier lives.

More than 100 million Americans do not regularly get a good night's sleep. 40 million of these people suffer from sleep disorders. Many of them don't even recognize their symptoms as indicators of inadequate sleep. In response we are proud to announce we are adding this much needed service to our region.

Our sleep center is fully equipped to educate, diagnose and treat sleep disorders. Sleep studies are useful in uncovering hidden health issues such as: Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy, Periodic Limb Movements, Restless Leg Syndrome, REM Behavior Disorder, Sleepwalking and Other Disturbances.

How to get help

Your family physician can refer you to the Sleep Disorders Lab for sleep testing or for a consultation with a physician who is a sleep specialist with training in sleep disorders. The physician can diagnose sleep disorders as well as prescribe a treatment plan.

Although patients do "spend the night", a sleep study is considered an outpatient procedure. Patients will be asked to follow their normal sleep schedules and are monitored for six to eight hours in a private "bedroom." A trained sleep technician will record and score sleep with state-of-the-art sleep equipment. A physician specializing in sleep disorders interprets studies.
