Welcome to Women's Health & Birthing Services


Giving Birth is one of the most remarkable events in your lifetime. The Women's Health and Birthing Center of Twin County Regional Hospital offers you and you family an informal, home-like atmosphere for the arrival of your baby. Surrounded by exceptionally qualified physicians and nurses, your family can relax in our pleasant surroundings with all the safety and assurance a hospital can deliver.


Labor/Delivery Rooms (LDR)

Your baby will be delivered in the relaxing, home-like atmosphere of our beautifully decorated labor/delivery rooms. A friend or family member may stay with you if you wish.

Family Waiting Area

A roomy, comfortable waiting area is located on the unit so your family and friends awaiting the new arrival will be close by. The family waiting area is furnished with sofas, chairs, a television, telephone, kitchenette and a private restroom.

Cesarean Birth

Should you require Cesarean birth, Twin County Regional Hospital's surgical unit is close by and prepared for delivery. Mothers and babies will be given the same loving care. 

Mother-Baby Unit

Following your recovery period, you and your baby can join your family in the postpartum suite. From birth to discharge, you baby will stay with you and your family. Special circumstances may require your baby to visit the nursery for a brief time. Nurses are close by to assist you and answer any questions you may have about caring for your new baby. The Mother-Baby Unit allows the same nurse to care for both you and your baby. 

Healthy Pregnancy, Healthy Baby Classes

You and your support partner are provided with the information and skills needed to help you prepare for your labor and birth experience. Each class is a four week series and covers such topics as breathing and relaxation techniques, the labor partner's role, variations of labor, the labor and birth process, adjustment to parenthood, changing feelings and many other details of labor and birth as well as newborn care. Infant CPR Classes
