For Patients With Insurance:

 Knowing What to Expect:

All patients should familiarize themselves with the terms of their insurance coverage. Please bring your insurance card with you and be prepared to pay any co-pay and deductible amount at the time of your visit. Your benefit information is available from your insurance company or Human Resources Department. It is your responsibility for the payment of your hospital bill.

The Patient Accounting Office will submit your bill to your insurance company as a courtesy and will do everything possible to expedite your claim. Please remember that your policy is a contract between you and your insurance company, and you will have the final responsibility for payment of your hospital bill.

If your account was not paid in full by your insurance company or not processed timely by your carrier, you may receive a statement from the hospital advising you to CALL TO SET UP AN ACCEPTABLE PAYMENT PLAN or PAY THE ACCOUNT OFF IN FULL.

Your bill represents all the services, which you received during your hospital stay. Your daily basic rate includes charges for your room, meals, nursing care, housekeeping, telephone and television. Additional charges for special services such as x-rays or laboratory tests will be listed separately. You may receive bills from physicians who assists with these tests, but, do not see you directly.

For Patients Without Insurance

Knowing what to expect:

It is your responsibility for the payment of your hospital bill. Twin County Regional Hospital offers the following resources:

  • Visa, Master Card Discover - You can resolve your account by calling the hospital Cashier at 276.238.2534 and giving your credit card number.

  • Hospital Based Eligibility Worker - First Sourcehas a representative in the hospital. This program is available to hospital patients for assistance in the Medicaid application process. You may call 276.236.1649 for assistance.

    If you have medical insurance, please contact the the Patient Accounting Department at 276.238.3546 immediately and they will submit your bills to your insurance company, but you should remember that your policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. You have the final responsibility for the payment of your hospital bill should the insurance company not cover all the charges.

    Why do I get so many different bills from so many different people?

    The hospital does not charge for the physician fees. You may also receive a bill from:

  • Attending Physician

    Does the hospital accept my insurance? 

    With the complexity of coverage issues it is impossible for the hospital to determine your insurance benefits. Twin County Regional Hospital has a contract with most government payers and the following commercial payers:
