Twin County Hospice Offers Volunteer Training

Twin County Hospice of Twin County Regional Healthcare will be hosting a Volunteer Orientation and Training Session on Friday, July 23, 2010. The session will be held from 9:30am to 4:30pm at the Twin County Hospice office located in the Vaughan Office Suites at 818 Glendale Road, Galax, in the Conference Room located on the lower level. Lunch and refreshments will be provided to attendees.

This training session is for new and existing volunteers. The session will help volunteers to become compassionate caregivers to those with life-limiting illnesses. Some opportunities to help patients and/or their families are: visiting, offering musical entertainment, running errands, helping with house and/or yard work, providing clerical support or assisting with special events.
