TCRH to Host Women’s Health Expo September 26, 2017

Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH) will host a Women’s Health Expo on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 floating from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at Chestnut Creek School of the Arts located at 100 North Main Street in Galax.
This free event will include health and wellness booths; beauty, shopping, art and more as well as door prizes, give aways and refreshments.
Guest speakers will begin at 6:30pm including Dr. Carlos Blattner, OB/GYN; Dr. Mike Jawhar, Twin County Surgery; Kim Kimble, Twin County Regional Hospital Mammography and Lisa Bottomley, American Cancer Society.
Free screenings will be offered to the community including: blood pressure, BMI (body mass index) and pulse oximetry. Other services provided by the Virginia Department of Health include: bone density, HgA1c and flu vaccines.
Free health education will be available including, but not limited to, early heart attack care, stroke awareness, nutrition and diabetes information along with community resources including: Every Woman’s Life and Road to Recovery programs.
