Twin County Family Care of Independence to Open & Welcomes Providers

Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH) is pleased to announce Twin County Family Care of Independence will open on Monday, February 18, 2013 and welcomes John J. Kovacich, MD, FACP and Daisy M. Edwards, FNP-BC.

Dr. Kovacich joined the Twin County Regional Healthcare medical staff in January 1985 and will join Independence Family Care Center as an internal medicine physician upon opening in February.

He is a graduate of Emory University School of Medicine.  He completed his residency at Emory University affiliated hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia.  He has been board certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine since 1979.  He was awarded the distinction of Fellowship by the American College of Physicians (FACP).

Ms. Edwards joined the Twin County Regional Healthcare nursing staff in May 2004 and will join Independence Family Care Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner upon opening in February.

She obtained her Master of Science degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner tract from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.  She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Independence Family Care is one of nine (9) outpatient clinics affiliated with the Twin County Physician Practices of Twin County Regional Healthcare which include: Galax Family Care; Twin County Family Care of Hillsville; Behavioral Health Care; Pediatric Care; Twin County Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT); Twin County Rheumatology; Twin County Surgery and Twin County Urology.
